a pirate bike ride
who want to dress up like a pirate (or just summon their inner ahoy) and ride bike en masse from the Lower East Side to Governer's Isalnd? Ummmm, us? Meet up with your mateys at Chris & Allie's Pirate Ride at 156 Rivington Street. Stop by before hand and pack a little picnic to take with you over the high seas.

Walk it off.
Our neighbors at The Tenement Museum always have interesting interactive exhibits and neighborhood tours. One of their ongoing walking tours, Immigrant Soles, departs at 11 am & 12:30 pm on Saturday and at 12:30 on Sunday. See the roots of our fair neighborhood, meet some interesting people, and exchange stories about the LES past and present. Located at 108 Orchard Street.

a folky trio
The Masada String Trio play their folksy jazzy perfect-for-a-Sunday-evening tunes (from the John Zorn's Book of Angels series) beginning at 8pm on Sunday at The Stone. Tickets from $20-$25.
