Our neighbor, Eddie Huang, is one of our favorites. Whether bumping in to him on Rivington, at his restaurant BaoHaus, or checking in with his blog, he is, just like his food, inviting and irreverent. Eddie is opening his second restaurant Xiao Ye this summer and we can't wait. You can read all about it on his blog, Fresh Off the Boat, as well as tips on what he's been cooking, hearing, and where he's been (think of it as the hilarious journal of an NYC restaurateur). And, as of recently, you can catch him on Eater in his new segment called Haus Call. Even though his restaurant is only six months old, it's hard to remember a time on the block without him. We're glad to have you in the hood, Eddie!
