LES Weekend Guide.

It's August and the dog days have officially begun. This weekend, we thought we ought to focus on events that maximized your A/C exposure and were gentle on the wallet. Happy weekending!

Eat well,

Tiny's

Gallery 128 opened a new group show this past Wednesday and it sounds like an interactive, multimedia explosion that will surely be worth the trip. Read their description, below:

"Gallery 128 is proud to announce rEvolution, the midsummer night’s group show opening August 4th through September 4th. Nine artists will be participating in this month-long happening. Presenting - improvisation, collaboration, freedom, fun, fake fur, found objects, found artists, trumpets, guitars, postal codes, hair portraits, cyber-violence, jazz riffs, painted dresses, T-Rex (the band)…and more. Everything is happening!"

Located at 128 Rivington Street b/t Essex & Norfolk.

Voz, one of our favorite East Village boutiques for vintage and new & gently used designer clothing is having a huge sale this weekend with incredible markdowns on their pre-worn clothing. Stop in and show us your finds afterwards! Located at 618 E.9th Street b/t A & B.

Tonight at Dixon Place, Mark Sam Rosenthal will be premiering stories from his recent memoir. Rosenthal is known for his comedy, and this will be a rare opportunity to see performances from his unpublished work. Located at 161A Chrystie St. between Delancey & Rivington Streets. Show starts at 9:30, tickets are $15.
